Abstract:

We discuss the Greenhouse in a radiative planetary atmosphere. We solve the radiative transfer equation and show that the equation has several solutions. We discuss the physical source of this phenomenon and the implications to planetary system. 

We show that about half of the solutions are stable while the other half is unstable. We discuss the meaning of an unstable solutions and show that there is always at least one solution.
